Only health systems that incorporate communities can sustainably contribute to universal health coverage and the Sustainable Development Goals. Such systems require trained health workers, of course — but also community organizations and committed volunteers, government and non-state institutional support, and sustainable financing. All of these need to be connected to avoid the “displacement of capacity” by future projects.
Please join us for this second event in the “Working Towards Sustainable Health Systems” webinar series. We’ll introduce you to places around the world where new approaches are making community health systems stronger and more integrated. International experts will discuss the latest thinking around community health platforms–and share their experiences putting all the pieces together.
