Rockville, Md. – Abt Global announces the appointment of Susan Longley as senior vice president for the U.S. Domestic Market and ZeAmma Brathwaite as vice president of U.S. healthcare services.
Named a Top Healthcare Exec to Watch in 2023 by Washington Exec, Susan Longley will lead the growth and impact of Abt’s U.S. domestic work in health, housing and asset building, environment, human services, and social policy. Longley has 20 years of experience leading large-scale policy implementation and change management efforts for numerous federal clients. Her expertise spans various areas of health care quality, public reporting, performance measurement, and domestic preparedness. She has implemented growth and diversification strategies across multiple sectors, including health and homeland security.
Longley was previously Abt’s vice president of the U.S. Domestic Healthcare Services portfolio, where she led the growth of our primary healthcare account by 300 percent in under two years. She came to Abt from Booz Allen, where she spent 17 years supporting senior government officials at clients such as the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ). She directed a large team with diverse healthcare experience, from policy experts to healthcare clinicians, and played a key role in that portfolio’s growth from 2012 to 2016.
Longley holds a B.A. in Government and International Politics from George Mason University.
ZeAmma Brathwaite has over 20 years of experience partnering with private organizations and federal agencies to improve health outcomes and access to social services for individuals and communities. In her new role, she is responsible for the growth and management of Abt’s large portfolio of research, digital, and technical assistance projects for CMS, AHRQ, and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), among other clients. She will bring Abt’s capabilities in digital modernization and advanced analytics, equity, technical assistance, and research to still more clients in the health policy space, helping them address critical areas such as equity, patient experience, and cost of care.
Before joining Abt, Brathwaite was a Principal Director for Accenture Federal Services (AFS), where she led growth and strategy efforts across multiple client accounts including CMS, the Office of Personnel Management, and the Social Security Administration. A certified project management professional, Brathwaite has extensive experience leading multidisciplinary teams in the design, implementation, and evaluation of complex, large-scale transformation efforts using improvement science methods and tools to accelerate change.
Brathwaite holds an MHS from the University of Michigan School of Public Health, Ann Arbor and a BS in Industrial and Operations Engineering and University of Michigan College of Engineering, Ann Arbor.
“Susan and ZeAmma are outstanding, proven business leaders and partners to our clients,” says President & CEO Kathleen Flannagan. “These news roles will enable them—and Abt—to have an even greater impact.”
