Rockville, Md. – The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) awarded Abt Global several multi-year cooperative agreements to continue providing support through the Community Compass Capacity Building and Technical Assistance program. Community Compass helps HUD’s grantees navigate the complex challenges of addressing homelessness, community development, and affordable housing while advancing equity. The program also equips HUD’s grantees with the knowledge, tools, and systems to implement HUD programs and policies successfully and sustainably.
With more than $22 million in Community Compass task orders, Abt will provide technical assistance to address existing and emerging HUD priorities, including: reducing unsheltered and rural homelessness, promoting fair housing, access to opportunity, community development, racial and gender equity, public and affordable housing, and climate resilience. Our technical assistance also will help grantees develop Youth Action Boards to enhance local efforts to end youth homelessness.
“We look forward to continuing our support to HUD and its grantees, bringing our equity-centered technical assistance and implementation teams together in partnership with people with lived experiences across the entire Community Compass program,” said Eduardo Castellon, Abt’s vice president of Housing & Asset Building.
