Rockville, Md. – Jeffrey Wuorinen is Abt Global’s new Vice President, Just Climate and Energy Transitions. His career spans more than 100 countries and two decades of experience working at the intersection of the built and natural environment, with a focus on innovative public-private partnerships, social, economic, and environmental equity, evidence-informed public policy, blue and green infrastructure, and low carbon renewable energy. In his new role, Wuorinen will lead Abt’s international climate and energy portfolio, working with U.S. government clients such as USAID to plan and implement large-scale projects to address the climate crisis equitably with partner countries.
Prior to joining Abt, he served as Executive Director of Chemonics UK and Senior Vice President for Water, Energy and Sustainable Cities at Chemonics International. Earlier in his career, he led the public-private partnerships practice of a leading architecture-engineering firm and managed research, capacity building, and advisory programs at a groundbreaking Washington, DC think tank.

Wuorinen received BAs in Political Science and International Studies from Saint Louis University.
