Building on our efforts to help HRSA’s Maternal and Child Health Bureau update its strategic plan, Abt and our partners will now help implement that plan.

Melissa Schweisguth is an inclusive market systems development and economic growth expert with more than sixteen years of experience in the international development and food and agriculture private sectors. She has focused extensively on designing programs, providing technical expertise for implementation, developing market systems approaches and guidance, and developing and delivering staff training.

Abt led support to EPA’s Guide to Action Electric Utility Regulatory Frameworks and Financial Incentives report, which can help states accelerate clean energy.

Abt supported EPA’s Guide to Action Interconnection and Net Metering, which describes state policies that can help utility customers invest in clean energy.  

Abt led technical support for EPA’s Guide to Action report that describes states’ best practices to increase energy efficiency, including for utility customers.

Alexandra Nastase is the Chief Technical Director, based in London. She has more than 15 years of experience in design, implementation, and evaluation of large reform and technical assistance programs to improve public sector performance and strengthen civil society.Nastase has held leadership and senior advisory roles for multi-million technical assistance programs funded by World Bank, European Commission, World Food Programme, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, Australian Department for Foreign Affairs and Trade, United Nations Development Program, and the UK’s Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office (FCDO).

After attending EPA’s NEJAC Meeting, Abt’s Larry Weinstock identified possible solutions to address historic challenges in environmental justice funding.

On behalf of the Global Methane Initiative, Abt helped the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency develop a handbook to assist with accounting for methane emissions and emissions reduction.

Colorado has contracted with Abt to help determine gaps in federal, state, and local investments in an effort to limit the incidence and length of homelessness.
